About to ESSWC 2026
The 2026 International Conference on Environmental Science, Soil and Water Conservation and Desertification Control will be held in Foshan in 2026. Foshan, located in the Pearl River Delta manufacturing cluster, has accumulated practical experience in soil and water conservation and ecological restoration during rapid industrialization. The conference focuses on soil erosion mechanisms, soil and water conservation engineering technologies, and comprehensive strategies for desertification control, covering traditional technology optimization such as slope management, gully protection, and small watershed comprehensive management. Topics also include innovative directions such as ecological slope protection materials, sponge city rainwater management, mine greening technology, and sandification land vegetation restoration. The conference will showcase differentiated governance models for southern red soil areas and northern sandy areas, contributing Chinese wisdom to the achievement of global land degradation neutrality goals.

All full paper submissions to the ESSWC 2026 could be written in English and will be sent to at least two reviewers and evaluated based on originality, technical or research content or depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. All accepted papers of ESSWC 2026 will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus for indexing.

Submission Guidelines
Delegates are encouraged to submit their papers/abstracts to the conference. Good quality papers will be selected by the organizing committee and Prof. Soteris Kalogirou, the editor in chief. After it, the authors will be invited to extent their papers/abstracts and submit them to esswc@confsflow.com. The normal size of research papers is 4,000-6,000 words excluding abstract and references.
