The 2026 International Conference on Biomass Energy, Biorefinery and Waste Resource Utilization will be held in Shanghai in 2026. Shanghai, as China's international economic center and a highland of technological innovation, leads in circular economy and clean energy fields. The conference conducts in-depth exchanges on diversified conversion of biomass energy, system integration of biorefinery technology, and high-value utilization of waste, covering thermochemical conversion pathways such as biomass gasification, liquefaction, and solidification, as well as biofuel production such as cellulosic ethanol, biodiesel, and bio-aviation kerosene. Topics also include energy and resource utilization technologies for organic wastes such as kitchen waste, agricultural and forestry waste, and municipal sludge. The conference is committed to building a biomass utilization technical system featuring diversified raw materials, diversified products, and clean processes.

All full paper submissions to the BEBWR 2026 could be written in English and will be sent to at least two reviewers and evaluated based on originality, technical or research content or depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. All accepted papers of BEBWR 2026 will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus for indexing.

Submission Guidelines

Delegates are encouraged to submit their papers/abstracts to the conference. Good quality papers will be selected by the organizing committee and Prof. Soteris Kalogirou, the editor in chief. After it, the authors will be invited to extent their papers/abstracts and submit them to bebwr@confsflow.com. The normal size of research papers is 4,000-6,000 words excluding abstract and references.
